Antony J. Blinken, Secretary of State

The United States congratulates the Central African Republic on the country's sixty-sixth national day and remains dedicated to advancing the shared objectives of our two nations. As we look ahead to the Central African Republic's historic local elections in 2025, an expanding state presence, as well as progress on the country's peace process, the United States remains committed to dialogue with President Touadéra, his government, and the Central African people. The United States will continue to support democracy and prosperity for the Central African people and we look forward to assisting the country in realizing its potential for peace, security, and prosperity.
